You may use Dunetrace for any lawful purpose, including commercial use, subject to the Apache 2.0 license. You agree not to:
- Use Dunetrace to monitor agents in a way that violates applicable law or the privacy rights of end users

- Use the Dunetrace name or logo to imply endorsement of a derived product without permission
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or circumvent any security measures in the software
3. Self-hosted deployment
Dunetrace is designed to be self-hosted. When you deploy Dunetrace, you are responsible for:
- Securing your PostgreSQL database and API endpoints
- Managing access control to the dashboard and Customer API
- Complying with applicable data protection laws in your jurisdiction
- Ensuring your use of Slack, webhook, or other external integrations complies with those services' terms
4. No warranty
The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The full disclaimer is contained in the Apache 2.0 license.
In particular, Dunetrace does not guarantee:
- That all agent failures will be detected
- That alerts will be delivered within any specific time window
- That detectors will produce zero false positives or false negatives
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
5. Limitation of liability
In no event shall the authors or copyright holders be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from the use of the software, whether in an action of contract, tort, or otherwise. See the Apache 2.0 license for the full limitation of liability clause.
